Kyrsten is familiar with the difficulties that ordinary Arizonans deal with. Kyrsten, who was born in Tucson, experienced some difficult experiences as a child. Her family had financial difficulties, and for a while they were even homeless. But they made it through with the help of their family, church, and labor. The value of perseverance and the necessity of assisting others were lessons Kyrsten learned from her early experiences.

Kyrsten's key to a better life was education. She attended BYU and subsequently ASU with the aid of student loans, academic awards, and financial aid; she is now a proud Sun Devil teacher at ASU.

Following graduation, she worked in Arizona with families and students who experienced some of the same difficulties she endured. Kyrsten's dedication to public service brought her to the Arizona Legislature, where she authored legislation to assist veterans in receiving in-state tuition at all public colleges in the state, outlawed sex trafficking, and promoted the welfare and education of children.

Currently serving as the senior senator for Arizona, Kyrsten works tirelessly to meet the needs of Arizonan families by ensuring that veterans receive the benefits they are due, generating high-paying employment for Arizonans, and maintaining U.S. security both at home and abroad.

Kyrsten believes she has an obligation to serve and give back to the nations and communities that have given her so much. She succeeded in achieving the American dream, and she will continue to fight for the rights of all Arizonans.
